Terms of Use

The terms you're agreeing to by reading this site, following a link out of it, or joining the newsletter. Short on purpose.

01

Who you're dealing with

www.nekeakua.com is operated by Neké Akua LLC ("I", "me", "my"). By using the site you agree to what's below. If you don't, the site isn't for you — no hard feelings.

02

What's here, and what it isn't

Everything on this site is my own experience and opinion. It is not professional advice — not medical, financial, legal, or travel-safety advice — and it isn't a substitute for someone qualified.

Travel details go out of date fast. Prices change, hotels close, visa rules move. Check anything that matters before you book it.

05

The newsletter

Signing up means you're asking me to email you. You can leave at any time from any email, or by asking me directly. Signing someone else up without their say-so isn't on.

06

Photographs and writing

The photographs, writing and design on this site are mine, and they're protected by copyright. Please don't republish them, use them commercially, or feed them into a dataset without asking.

Sharing is different, and welcome: quote a paragraph, screenshot a photo, pin something, link back. Credit and a link is all I ask.

07

Availability

I'll keep the site up and accurate, but I can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or current. I may change, move or remove anything on it without notice — including retiring a page or an old post.

08

Liability

To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of this site, from anything you relied on here, or from anything that happens on a site you reached through a link.

Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.

09

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

10

Changes and contact

If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Continuing to use the site after that means you're fine with the new version.

Anything unclear, ask: hello@nekeakua.com.

How your details are handled is a separate question, and it’s answered in the Privacy Policy.
