A five-minute habit that actually stuck

Same page, same five minutes, most mornings. Here's the one journaling rule that made it stick when nothing else did.

The one rule

Every other journal I've owned had a prompt, a structure, a reason to feel like I was doing it wrong. This one has one rule: three lines, no more. Some mornings that's a real sentence. Some mornings it's just what I ate and how I slept. The lack of a bar to clear is the entire reason it's the one that lasted past February.

I'm not precious about missing a day, either — the habit survived two trips and one bad month specifically because I stopped treating a skipped morning as a reason to quit the whole thing.

Let’s Be Friends

Once a month I send the things that didn’t make it to the grid — the hotel I’d actually rebook, what I’m cooking on repeat, the one thing I bought and don’t regret.

No spam — just what I’m loving each month.
